RESULTS

The partnership agreed on 4 main objectives, that we would like to achieve:
– To improve the financial literacy skills and financial management and functional competences of disadvantaged (Roma, low skilled etc.) and disabled students
– To improve the self-esteem, self-confidence, motivation and believes of the above students groups
– To improve the results of the school intervention to prevent potential labour market dropouts
– To improve the knowledge, skills and competences to guide and support the financial literacy training realisation at
schools by teachers

Therefore, we have produced:
– dedicated training materials (handbook and educative videos) and to train  100 disadvantaged students (Roma, low skilled woman etc.) in Bulgaria, Spain and Turkiye to increase their financial literacy knowledge, including building financial skills, behaviour and socialisation.
– guidance toolkit to equip 50 youth trainers on inclusion of financial literacy training as part of curriculum
– develop online portal to enable financial literacy training in distance form
– 6 supportive worksheets on proper own financial management

R1: Handbook and educative videos for disabled and disadvantaged students in terms of financial literacy

The handbook is specially designed in 8 modules for disabled and disadvantaged students starting from basic concepts for financial literacy to advanced activities.

  • Module 1: Money, my expenses and my income
  • Module 2: Planning of costs of own/family budget
  • Module 3: Is there a lack of money? Can I reconsider / review my purchases?
  • Module 4: Ways to save and making a savings plan
  • Module 5: Loans taking / credits and communication with banks and financial institutions
  • Module 6: How to increase my income?
  • Module 7: Personal data confidentiality and what mistakes to avoid
  • Module 8: Production of tax declarations

R2: Guidance toolkit for teachers on financial literacy curriculum

The following toolkit is especially designed for teachers at mainstream inclusive schools on how can embed the financil literacy curriculum into existing intracurricular subjects like Maths, Entrepreneurship and Civil education. It consists of guidance and advices on how to deliver the FINLIT course to students with disabilities & learning difficulties, Roma students and disadvantaged females. Inside the toolkit, teachers may find description of the FINLIT curriculum as well as the units of learning outcomes, tools, duration and references to existing school curriculum. Dedicated part on didactic principles, which might be used as well as Validation and evaluation processes are included. Pre- and Post-assessment questionnaire are also at teacher’s disposal.

R5: Blended training of 50 teachers in Bulgaria, Spain and Turkiye

In the period November 2023 – January 2024 we have organised dedicated blended trainings for teachers at mainstream schools in Bulgaria, Spain and Turkiye. Information about their realisation you may find in section News.
